Khearwoot In is a senior advertising major at Quinnipiac University. He started his college journey as a marketing student, but soon fell in love with the art of advertising. During the fall 2022 semester, he transferred from Central Connecticut State University to pursue his passion and degree in advertising. His goal is to be a part of the creative team at a big ad agency in New York City. The opportunity to see his work plastered all over Time Square would be a dream come true. Overall, he plans to bring a renaissance back to the industry by creating timeless works of AdveRTisments.
Recently, he accepted a role as a digital media intern with the Office of the Connecticut Secretary of the State. The internship will be conducted out of the State Office Building in Hartford, Connecticut. It’s a great opportunity for him to showcase his marketing and advertising skills with the upcoming election. His responsibilities will involve…
- Designing digital and print assets, including graphics for social media, informational flyers, email newsletters, etc.
- Creating and editing videos for social media and the web
- Edit photos for social media
- Monitor all social channels for relevant trends, comments, and potential issues
This semester will be his last as an undergraduate. He’s taking five courses and is expected to graduate in May ’24 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Integrated Communications. This will make him the first person in his family to graduate from a university.
Although, he plans to further his education at QU for a Master of Science in Interactive Media and Communication. His goal for this program is to hone his skill set and get a better understanding of the ever-changing media landscape before entering the workforce. The thought of graduation saddens him, but he’s very optimistic about his future.
